Policy Development for Racial Justice

Our commitment to racial justice is at the forefront of our work, and policy development is a cornerstone of how we enact change across critical sectors. We translate our core principles into actionable strategies in education, housing, taxation, environmental justice, voter participation, healthcare, employment, criminal justice reform, and union representation. This involves not only crafting innovative policies but also actively engaging in organizing and advocacy to ensure their implementation. One of our key arms in this endeavor is The Peoples Brain Trust, which is being developed as a group of primarily Black academic scholars and leaders who will develop incisive racial justice policies to address these issues. Furthermore, we conduct thorough racial justice audits and develop racial justice budgets to expose systemic inequities and reallocate resources equitably. Our aim is to propose and champion legislation that dismantles discriminatory practices and builds a more just and equitable society for all.
