Rev. Greg Holston is a nationally respected faith leader, organizer, and policy advocate dedicated to racial justice, economic equity, and community transformation. He is the Executive Director and co-founder of Just Nation, Inc., advancing liberation, repair, and reimagining through racial justice, advocacy, and civic engagement.

A United Methodist pastor for over 25 years, Rev. Holston has led congregations across Pennsylvania, guiding mergers, expanding outreach, and fostering ministries of spiritual growth, racial reconciliation, and economic empowerment.

In public service, he served as Senior Advisor on Advocacy and Policy in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office under DA Larry Krasner, helping shape reforms to reduce mass incarceration, promote restorative justice, and address racial disparities.

Previously, he led POWER’s Jobs and Economic Justice team, securing living wages for Philadelphia airport workers and advancing racial equity in hiring. As POWER’s Executive Director (2016–2019), he guided a multi-faith, multiracial coalition of 50+ congregations to wins in school funding, environmental justice, police accountability, and economic equity.

Across all roles, Rev. Holston has championed the belief that justice is achieved when those most impacted lead the fight, mentoring new leaders and empowering communities to create lasting transformation.

We, the people, in pursuit of a just, inclusive, and sustainable future, affirm the following principles as essential to human dignity, collective liberation, and the survival of our planet. In a time of rising authoritarianism, systemic inequality, ecological crisis, and economic exploitation, we come together to counter establishment narratives, to strengthen our collective vision, to build leadership and movement infrastructure, to foster Black joy and liberation, and to declare:

Human Dignity is Non-Negotiable

Every person, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, disability, faith, or income, has the right to live free from violence, poverty, and oppression.

We are explicitly anti-racist, committed to dismantling white supremacy and building systems rooted in racial equity, justice, and repair.

We are equally committed to gender justice and to full equity for our LGBTQIA comrades—confronting patriarchy, transphobia, and homophobia as core elements of our struggle for liberation.

Democracy and the Right to Vote Belong to the People

Governments derive their power from the will of the people, not corporations, billionaires, or extremist factions. We commit to expanding participatory democracy at every level, and to protecting, strengthening, and modernizing voting rights and the electoral process as tools to build a multiracial democracy and transform government from the ground up.

Justice Must Be Transformative

We reject mass incarceration, police brutality, and punitive systems. We affirm the right of communities to safety through investment, restorative justice, and care—not criminalization.

Reparations Are Due

The United States must atone for the legacy of slavery, Indigenous genocide, colonization, and systemic racism through real reparations—economic, political, and cultural.

The Earth Cannot Wait

We recognize the climate crisis as a global emergency. Environmental justice must prioritize frontline communities and transition to a regenerative economy rooted in care, not extraction.

Health Is a Human Right

Access to healthcare, including mental health, reproductive care, and housing, must be guaranteed to all, free from corporate greed or political gamesmanship. We demand the expansion of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security to ensure comprehensive care, dignity in aging, and economic security for every person—no matter their income, age, or background.

Workers Are the Backbone of Society

Living wages, guaranteed income, the right to unionize, and safe working conditions are essential. Economic systems must serve the many, not the few. We are anti-capitalist—because capitalism, by design, prioritizes profit over people and undermines the humanity of all. We believe in economies rooted in cooperation, care, and shared abundance.

The Rich Must Pay Their Fair Share

Extreme wealth concentrated in the hands of a few is a threat to democracy. The ultra-wealthy and large corporations must be taxed fairly to fund public goods, end austerity, and rebuild our communities.

Sanctuary for All

No human being is illegal. We defend the rights of migrants, refugees, and displaced people to live with dignity, safety, and opportunity.

Public Education Is a Human Right

Every child has the right to a fully and fairly funded public education that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and the pursuit of knowledge. We commit to eliminating disparities in educational resources and ensuring all schools can provide high-quality education—regardless of ZIP code or wealth.

Housing Is a Human Right

Everyone deserves safe, stable, and affordable housing—without discrimination, displacement, or exploitation. Housing must be treated as a public good, not a commodity, and communities must have the power to shape their own neighborhoods.

Global Solidarity and Peace

We are committed to internationalism, to peace, and to global solidarity. We stand firmly against war, militarism, and imperialism—and with movements around the world fighting for justice, sovereignty, and freedom from violence and domination.
